In my opinion, this is the best Hebrew textbook to inspire one to study biblical Hebrew. Understanding the theological purpose of Hebrew language study is the motivator that allows one to endure the mundane.
Prerequisites
The research discussed throughout these articles is mainly concerned with the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, the "Torah." When these first five books are written in a book format as opposed to a scroll, they are called the "Chumash." This entire study uses a Chumash text rather than a scroll. This research is based solely on contextual observation; thus, there are very few references to any other sources outside of the Chumash. God spoke these words to Moses, and Moses recorded them verbatim in the Chumash. Therefore, it is with great respect and reverence that each one of these precious words is seriously reflected upon, and incorporated into one's every aspect of life. This method of study should not be construed in any way to diminish the wealth of Jewish knowledge. The discussions included on this website should be viewed as a single facet of a precious gemstone, and the entire focus of these articles is concentrated on that one specific facet. It is the brilliance of the combined facets that beautify the whole of the gemstone.
